Power Point: Praying God’s will is the key to effective prayer.
Principle 1: Although God’s timing belongs to Him, he
will not turn from His own will.
Principle 2: Praying God’s will guarantees He hears us and will answer us. This builds our confidence.
The Gospel Thread: Through Christ, God paved the way for us to gain full access to Him in Prayer.
How to pray God’s will:
- Pray the Scriptures back to God
- When praying for healing, leave room for God’s perfect will.
- Don’t be afraid to ask what’s on your heart; asking God to change you if what you desire in not His desire.
Next Step:
- For those who need to be saved, ask God to forgive you and make you clean
- For those who are His, make time to pray and pray His word over each situation

Truth: Godly parents anticipate the time their
children will be open and curious about God and are ready for the
opportunity.
Principle 1: We tell our children about the Lord’s power vv.20-22
Principle 2: We tell our children about the Lord’s provision v.23
Principle 3: We tell our children about the Lord’s promise vv24-25
Gospel Thread: As the children of Israel were delivered from Egyptian captivity, Followers of Jesus have been delivered from our sin by the power of the gospel, we have been provided right standing with God, and promised eternal life in Christ.
Next Steps:
- Submit to the power of the gospel for salvation
- Be committed to being ready for the opportunity to instruct your family.

Christ and His finished work on the cross.
Next Steps:
- Acknowledge Christ as Lord today and be saved
- Be thankful for all God’s blessings

Observation 1: No matter what the situation, Jesus is here to help v.1a

Observation 1: Love, faith, service, patient endurance and spiritual growth are all important to the Lord; so they should be evident in the church V.18-19
Observation 2: Sinful activity and false teachings should not be tolerated in the church vv.20-23
Observation 3: Even if sinful things happen in the church, ministry and blessings can still continue. 24-29

- Do not tolerate sinfulness in your own life
- Bring your disappointments to God and allow Him to help you overcome.

culture which is anti-Christ and violently hostile towards God should have no compromising
effect on the church. v.13
